These three existing buildings, located in Harlem, NY, between Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, made up a cluster of buildings renovated under NYC HPD’s Neighborhood Redevelopment Program.
All buildings went through a gut renovation and existing ageing infrastructure was replaced with current, energy efficient, code complaint systems. In addition, buildings were combined in order to provide an elevator. Other scope items included façade work, roof replacement, and the addition of passive landscaped recreational areas at the rear yards of the building.
208 West 149th Street is a 5 story buildings with 42 units; 236-208 West 149th Street is a 6 story building with 18 units; and 252-254 West 149th St is a 6 story building with 18 units.
Design work commenced in 2007, and final C of O was issued in 2011. Tenants began moving into the buildings in 2010.
