Marion and Sumpter Cluster
The project consists of a cluster of 11 three-family houses located side on the same city block in the Bed-Stuy portion of Brooklyn. The lots are 25’ wide infill properties and were designed to blend with the existing neighborhood aesthetic, in both scale and material.
In order to keep the homes affordable, there were cost limitations, but “green” elements such as high efficiency boilers and energy star windows were used. The properties were developed in conjunction with HDFC, and were meant to be owner-occupied, with the additional units above providing a source of income.
